Avaya 9608 Factory Reset

Usually you can simply plug your headset into the headset port of your phone and it will start working. But if your Avaya 9608 phone isn't working as it should be, we have a quick reset here.

WARNING: THIS WILL RESET DELETE ALL SAVED NUMBERS AND ANY OTHER SAVED DATA ON THE PHONE. We strongly advise that you reach out to your phone provider before resetting your phone in this way. We do not have any other information on Avaya telephones to further help with troubleshooting!

Avaya 9608 Factory Reset

  1. Press the Menu button and navigate to the “Administration” menu
  2. Select and insert the Admin password (default is - 27238)
  3. Scroll down the menu and select Clear
  4. Press Clear again to confirm the action. The phone settings will be cleared and the phone will restart
  5. Test out your Avaya 9608 telephone to see if the reset worked!
