There are 4 different setup options for the AT&T Marathon (TL7610)
Yeah, that seems to be a lot. But if you look below this paragraph we will have some ways to find out which setup you need. Have at it!
Cordless phone - Setup #1
Multi-line Non-Partner Phone - Setup #2
I don’t have a phone - Setup #3
Partner Phone - Setup #4
Set Up# 1: Cordless phone set up (connecting to splitter)
for use with Single line cordless phones
- Put a jack splitter - which is included with unit - into the wall outlet.
- Plug the Tell wall jack cord into the headset base and the other end into the splitter
- Phone line will plug in from cordless phone to the splitter (there is 2 ports in the splitter)
- Set to NO LIFTER MODE
SET UP 2: Multi-line NON-Partner Office Phones

Handset Jack:
- Remove the Handset Receiver cord f (curly cord) from the phone and plug it into the headset base
- Plug the Base Jack cord into the headset base and other end into handset jack of the phone
- Set to LIFTER MODE
- Compat on D
Headset Jack:
- Plug the Base Jack cord into the headset base and other end into headset jack of the phone
- Set to LIFTER MODE
- Compat on D
SET UP 3: Stand Alone Telephone (directly into wall jack)
either with dialpad or without
- Connect Tel Wall Jack to phone outlet (if connecting to a phone modem with digital phone service, a DSL filter may be necessary)
- Set to NO LIFTER MODE
Set Up 4: Partner Phone set up (connecting to AUX jack of Partner phone)

- Plug the Tell wall jack cord into the headset base and the other end into the AUX jack on the Partner phone.
-Set to NO LIFTER MODE
