My Sennheiser wireless headset has a dial tone while in PC mode

If you're hearing a dial tone over your softphone calls and computer sound, the culprit is a program called Skype for Business. This dial tone sound will happen with wireless computer headsets whether you're using Skype for Business or not. Luckily, there is an easy way to fix it!

How to Get Rid of Dial Tone While On PC Mode:

1. Right click on the speaker located in the bottom right corner of your computer screen and click on Sounds
2. Go to the Sounds tab and head to Program Events (see image 1)
3. Under Program Events scroll down and search for “Skype for Business” or “Microsoft Lync”
4. Once there, select Dial Tone
5. Next, under the Sounds section below Program Events, select None, then click Apply (see image 2)
6. Go back to Program Events and search for "Howler Sound" this time, repeat steps 4 and 5 under "Howler Sound"
7. Test out your headset on Computer Mode to make sure the dial tone is gone
