Pairing and Reset Instructions for the Sennheiser BW900

The Sennheiser BW900 is a wireless office headset designed to be used with a desktop phone as well as a Bluetooth cell phone. When used with the desktop phone you can roam up to 300 feet and when paired to the cell phone you can roam up to 33 feet. It features Adaptive Intelligence Technology which automatically compensates for the ambient noise in your environment to ensure call/speech clarity. The BW900’s charging base has a slot for a second battery to charge allowing for continual usage of the headset throughout the day by battery swapping. The battery allows for 4-5 hours of headset use and lasts an average of 2-3 years.


Headset:

1. Microphone boom

3. Multi Switch (Volume/Mute adjustment; press and hold in for 3-5 seconds to turn the headset on/off

4. Hook button (Accept/End calls; toggle between Bluetooth and Office phone)

If your Bluetooth cell phone supports Voice dialing, simply press and hold the headset’s Hook button until you hear a confirmation tone, then say the name of the other party. Likewise, if your cell phone supports Automatic redial quickly press the headset’s Hook button two times and the last dialed number is redialed. To reject a call on your cell phone press the Multi-Switch.


Reset:

If technical issues occur with the BW900 it’s best to reset the system which is done by repairing the headset to the base station.


Headset Pairing Mode:

Press and hold down the headset Hook button and the Multi-Switch button for 4 seconds. The headset’s LED will start flashing red then blue.


Base Station Pairing Mode:

To put the base station into pairing mode, quickly press the Program button two times. The Hook LED will flash blue. Now place the headset into pairing mode.


Base Station:

1. Headset/Handset switch

2. Hook button (Answer/End calls from the base station)

3. Headset charging LED

4. Spare battery charging LED

5. Hook LED

6. Mute LED

7. Spare battery charging slot

8. Headset cradle

9. Program button

10. Microphone volume knob

11. Phone adjustment switch


Adaptive Volume Control (pre-set as active):

Deactivate: Press and hold the Program button, continue to hold while tapping and releasing the Hook button on the base station. The LED will flash red twice to verify deactivation.

Activate: Press and hold the Program button, continue to hold while tapping and releasing the Hook button on the base station. The LED will flash blue twice to verify activation.


Making a Call :

With the Office Phone: Press either the base station Hook button or the headset’s Hook button

With the Bluetooth Device: Press and hold the headset’s Hook button until a beep is heard in the headset.

Toggle between Office and Mobile Phone calls: Press and hold the headset’s Hook button until a beep is heard in the headset. The current call is terminated and the new call is accepted.
