Leitner handset lifter on corded desk phone

In many phones, there are more than one way to connect a headset. Through the handset jack or through the headset jack. Follow along here to get everything plugged in correctly and make your Leitner Wireless headset work for you!

Handset Jack Setup:

  1. Connect the power cord into both base and power outlet. (Headset will need to charge for 4 hours)
  2. Unplug the telephone receiver (curly cord) from the base of phone. Plug this into the HANDSET jack in the LEITNER wireless headset base. (last jack on the right side of the base under the blue port)
  3. Plug one side of the connector cord (flat, black cord with a green sticker on one end) into the HANDSET jack of the telephone (where the curly cord used to be). Plug the other end into the GREEN PHONE JACK in the back of the LEITNER base (2nd to last jack on the right)
  4. Underneath the charging base, make sure the switch on the left is set to RHL and the sliding switch on the right is all the way at the top at 1
  5. IF THERE IS NO LIFTER, then nothing will be plugged into the AUX jack (the largest jack in the center. We want the RHL/DHSG button is set to RHL. The handset will need to be lifted each time they would like to answer a call!
  6. IF THERE IS A LIFTER, plug the connector cord from the lifter into the AUX jack (the largest jack in the center) and set the RHL/DHSG button to RHL.
