There are many positions of the mic boom where there is tons of static. I have to keep moving the boom to reduce the static. Could this be a mic short or loose wire? Is there any way for me to fix it? Do I just need a new headset?

Just setting up a LH280 to use with Allworx 9312 model phone and the headset sounds muffled. Any suggestions on how to correct this issue?

Adjusting your volumes might help clear up the sound quality. Start by turning the volume up on your phone and down on the headset. We also want to make sure you microphone volume isn’t up too high. To adjust it, use the down button underneath your charging base. If you’re still having issues, call 1-800-HEADSETS and they’ll quickly get your headset sounding great.

when the phone rings I cannot hear it in my headset, how do I fix it so it will ring in the headset?

To get ring detection you’ll want to be using an Electronic Hookswitch or Handset Lifter. These are optional accessories for the headset that will allow you to answer calls away from your desk and will chime in your headset when a call is coming in. If you already have one of these accessories (or want to get one), give us a call at 800-432-3738 and we’ll help you get it working.

I just got a LH275 and I have it connected to my Macbook pro via USB connection. My headset volume is really loud and difficult to lower. I’m trying to use the ‘-’ button on the headset itself and sometimes it doesn’t work (especially when first joining a Zoom call). I hear a beep when I click the button but the volume doesn’t seem to always be affected. I’ve been able to eventually get it to lower for a particular call, but when I join a new call I have to go through it all again (the volume starts really high). Any suggestions?

What we’d recommend is setting the master volume in your Mac’s System Preferences to a lower number. This should lower the sound of the headset across all programs.
