What Do The Lights On The CS500 Series Headsets Mean?

Plantronics CS540 headset, base, and lights
  1. Talk Light: This light indicates whether the headset is in use or is in standby. When it LIGHTS up green the headset is on and all sound will be routed to the headset. When the headset it MUTED it will flash red
  2. Power Light: This light should be on solid white anytime there is power connected to the base of the headset
  3. Charge Light: This light will flash when the headset is on the charger and charging, it should be solid when the headset has a full charge, and it should be off when the headset is not in the charger

If your CS540 headset is flashing orange that indicates that it isn’t charging. If you haven’t changed the battery in a few years, that would be our first idea.

If you have recently changed the battery and your headset still isn’t charging, then we’d recommend reaching to out to Plantronics for further troubleshooting help. They can be reached at 1-800-544-4660.
