SNOM/Nextiva Phones - Leitner and Jabra Wireless Setup

This setup is for the SNOM EHS (Cat #2523). There are a couple of different setups below, please follow the instructions for your specific phone model.

Set up for SNOM 300, 320, 370, 820, D3x5, D785, D735, D717, and all Nextiva phones

SNOM 300, 320, 370, 820, D3x5, D785, D735, D717 cords

What we'll need:

  • Black SNOM box
  • Red circled cord (unlabeled)
  • Blue circled cord ("S3xx EXT s820 EXT")
  • Headset connector cord (labeled with a green sticker)
  1. Plug one end of the red circled cord into the AUX port in the back of the Leitner or Jabra charger base, then plug the other end into the large connector port on the SNOM box
  2. Take the cord circled in blue and plug the side that says "EHS Box" and plug it into the, well, EHS box, then take the other end and plug it into the "EXT" or "1/0" port (whatever is available) in your SNOM (or Nextiva) phone
  3. Take the connector cord that came with the headset
    • For Leitner: plug the green side into the green port in the back of the headset base (2nd from the right). The other end should go into the headset jack in the back of your SNOM (or Nextiva) phone
    • For Jabra: plug one end of the cord into the blue port in the back of the headset base, then the other end into the headset jack of the phone
  4. Flip the headset base over and move the RHL switch to DHSG, and make sure the switch on the right is all the way to the top at 1
  5. Lastly, go ahead and reboot your SNOM phone, and it should start working!
    • Note: Reboot not required if plugging into Nextiva phone

Set up for SNOM 821, 870

SNOM EHS 821 and 870 cords

What we'll need:

  • Black SNOM box
  • Red circled cord (unlabeled)
  • Blue circled cord ("SNOM EHS prt R3")
  • Headset connector cord (labeled with a green sticker)
  1. Plug one end of the red circled cord into the AUX port in the back of the Leitner charger base, then plug the other end into the large connector port on the SNOM box
  2. Take the cord circled in blue and plug the side that says "EHS Box" and plug it into the, well, EHS box, then take the other end and plug it into the "EXT" port in your SNOM phone
  3. Take the connector cord that came with the headset
    • For Leitner: plug the green side into the green port in the back of the headset base (2nd from the right). The other end should go into the headset jack in the back of your SNOM phone
    • For Jabra: plug one end of the cord into the blue port in the back of the headset base, then the other end into the headset jack of the SNOM phone
  4. Flip the headset base over and move the RHL switch to DHSG, and make sure the switch on the right is all the way to the top at 1
  5. Lastly, go ahead and reboot your SNOM phone, and you should have remote answering!

Set up for Other SNOM 7xx (710, 720, etc.), D7xx

SNOM EHS 7xx and D7xx phones

What we'll need:

  • Black SNOM box
  • Red circled cord (unlabeled)
  • Blue circled cord ("SNOM EHS prt R3")
  • Headset connector cord (labeled with a green sticker)
  1. Plug one end of the red circled cord into the AUX port in the back of the Leitner charger base, then plug the other end into the large connector port on the SNOM box
  2. Take the cord circled in blue and plug the side that says "EHS Box" and plug it into the EHS box, then take the other end and plug it into the flat connector (possibly under the stand) in the SNOM phone. Picture below.

  3. Take the connector cord that came with the headset
    • For Leitner: plug the green side into the green port in the back of the headset base (2nd from the right). The other end should go into the headset jack in the back of your SNOM phone
    • For Jabra: plug one end of the cord into the blue port in the back of the headset base, then the other end into the headset jack of the SNOM phone
  4. Flip the headset base over and move the RHL switch to DHSG, and make sure the switch on the right is all the way to the top at 1
  5. Lastly, go ahead and reboot your SNOM phone, and you should have remote answering!
