Jabra Engage 75 Setup With Desk Phone

Updated by Kyle Newgent on Feb 10, 2023

Note: We do not currently carry Jabra headsets. Thus, we do not know much about these headsets beyond what is mentioned in these articles. Sorry about that!

Your Jabra Engage 75 can connect to desk phone, computer, and even cell phone. If you are looking for instructions on how to set it up with a physical desk phone you are in the right place!

Jabra Engage 75 Headset Base

Setup with desk phone: Headset jack

  • Plug the provided phone cord (with a blue sticker) and plug it into the Blue phone port in the back of the base
  • Plug the other end into the headset jack in the back of your telephone
  • Remove the protective plastic from the headset and base
  • Plug the power cord into the headset base, then the other end into a power outlet or surge protector
  • The screen will now ask if you want to set up your desk phone
  • This part is strange, but position "yes" so that it is in the middle of the screen using the plus and minus buttons on the side of the screen. Once "yes" is centered, hit the check mark button below the screen
  • In "Connect to desk phone", make sure "on" is centered, then hit the check mark
  • In the next part, if you have an EHS cable, select DHSG. If you don't have one, either select "none" or "auto"
  • You can now select the dial tone you would like to hear. Play around and find your favorite!

Setup with deskphone: Handset jack

  • Unplug the curly cord from the handset jack in the back of the phone and plug it into the handset jack in the back of the headset base in the far left port (picture of a handset)
  • Plug the provided phone cord (with a blue sticker) and plug it into the Blue phone port in the back of the base
  • Plug the other end into the handset jack in the back of your telephone
  • Remove the protective plastic from the headset and base
  • Plug the power cord into the headset base, then the other end into a power outlet or surge protector
  • The screen will now ask if you want to set up your desk phone
  • This part is strange, but position "yes" so that it is in the middle of the screen using the plus and minus buttons on the side of the screen. Once "yes" is centered, hit the check mark button below the screen
  • In "Connect to desk phone", make sure "on" is centered, then hit the check mark
  • In the next part, if you have a lifter, select GN1000. If you don't have one, either select "none" or "auto"

And there you go! You are set up to use your headset with your desk phone!

Basic Operation

To turn on the headset, just press the silver circle where the microphone is connected to the earpad. If you have a lifter or EHS cable, this will give you a dial tone. Pressing that button again will end the call.

If you don't, then you will hit the headset button on the phone if you're using the headset jack setup, and if you're using handset jack setup, pick up the handset. Simply press the headset button again or hang up the handset to end the call.
