How to Train with Corded Headsets

Here you'll find a breakdown of how what to use when needing to train using corded headsets.

Leitner corded:

• 2 Leitner corded headsets
• 1 Leitner QD cord (USB or RJ9)
• 1 Leitner Y-Training Cord

Leitner does not work with the Plantronics Training Cord. The mute feature mutes sound from both headsets.

Sennheiser Corded:

• 2 Sennheiser corded headsets
• 1 Sennehsier QD cord (USB or RJ9)
• 1 Sennheiser Y-Training Cord

Executive Pro Corded:

• 2 EP Corded Headsets
• 1 EP QD Cord (RJ9)
• 1 EP Y-Training Cord

Executive Pro works with both EP training cords and Leitner Training Cords

Plantronics Corded:

• 2 PLT Corded Headsets
• 1 PLT QD Cord (RJ9 or USB)
• 1 PLT Y-Training Cord (DISCONTINUED!)

OR

• 2 PLT Corded Headsets
• 2 PLT QD Cords
• 1 Wireless Y-Adapter

Plantronics does not work with the Leitner Training Cord, use Plantronics cord only!

If using 2 different brands of corded headsets:

• 2 headsets (any brand)
• Wireless Y-Adapter

What you can expect:

Your caller can hear both headsets, both headsets can hear the call, but users cannot hear each other in the headsets. This should be okay, though, since you’re sitting right next to each other connected by a cord.
