HSL10 (ORL12) Flashing Red

Updated by Aurelia Lamas on Sep 15, 2023

The flashing red light is an “error” message, the lifters way of telling us something isn't right.

Sennheiser HSL10 handset lifter red light

How to fix the flashing red light:

  1. Reset the lifter:Unplug the lifter cord->hold P1 and P2-> while holding the buttons plug the cord back in. You should see 2 red flashes the let go of the buttons. Aftre it's done flashing blue 5x, the lifter has been reset
  2. Swap the end of the cord plugged into the lifter. I.e., the end going into the headset base will now go into the lifter, the end in the lifter will now go into the headset base
  3. Plug the power cable into a different outlet
  4. Try a dipswitch reset
  5. Lastly, ensure there is nothing keeping the lifter from rising up, like a wall tab or a shoulder rest

Some people have a tendency to manually move (force) the lifter platform up and down. Please do not do this as it can wear the motor down or can cause the red light to flash and make the lifter malfunction.
