Sleep Mode on Leitner Premium Plus & Dongle Headsets

Premium Plus & Premium Dongle headsets enter sleep mode when they've been disconnected from a base or dongle for 5 minutes or more. If you see the headset FocusLight flashing red, this might be the reason.

Premium Dongle

There are 2 scenarios where we'll see sleep mode take effect:

  1. When you first receive your headset, it will arrive in sleep mode.
  2. When you disconnect the dongle from the computer, the headset will flash red for five minutes before going into sleep mode. Right at the 5-minute mark, your headset will flash blue a few times as it is going to sleep.

    Note: Turning off the computer is the same as unplugging the dongle. You'll need to wake it up after you boot the computer back up.


Getting out of Sleep Mode:

  1. Plug the dongle into a USB port.
  2. Press and hold the on/off button on the headset until the FocusLight flashes purple, then let go.
  3. Once it stops flashing, your headset should be awake and ready to go!

Premium Plus

If we disconnect the power from the base, the headset will flash red for five minutes before going into sleep mode. Right at the 5-minute mark, your headset will flash blue a few times as it is going to sleep.


Getting out of sleep mode:

  1. Plug the power back in and set the headset on the charging base.
  2. After about 15 seconds, the battery lights will come back on, meaning the headset is awake and ready to go!
