About the Knobs & Switches on a Leitner Lifter

Updated by Hayden Everly on Mar 1, 2024

What do the knob and switches on the Leitner lifter do?

  1. The knob on the lifter (1st picture below) is our ring detection sensitivity.
    1. This can be used adjusted in case you're hearing phantom chimes (ring detection is going off randomly) or if you can’t seem to get ring detection. If you can’t hear the ring, try turning it clockwise (to the right) to increase sensitivity.
    2. If it chimes too easily, turn it counterclockwise (to the left) to decrease ring detection.
  2. The switch on the top (2nd picture below) is to adjust the height of the lifter. This has 3 settings - Low, Medium, and High.
    1. Low= the switch is furthest from you
    2. Middle= the switch is somewhere in the middle
    3. High= the switch is closest to you
  3. Microphone placement “Slidey thing” (3rd pictue below) can move up or down to be closer to the speaker of the phone depending on where it is located.
