Updated by on Mar 1, 2024

Answer and end calls remotely with your Leitner wireless headset and Allworx 9200 and 9300 series IP phones with the Leitner ShoreTel/Avaya EHS

Leitner Avaya EHS for Allworx phones and remote answering

This is a simple plug-and play-setup:

  1. Grab the EHS cable and plug the small connector on the Y-cord into the green phone port in the back of the headset base (second from the right)
  2. Plug the larger plug (RJ45) into the AUX jack (big middle port) in the back of the headset base
  3. Take the final end and plug it into the headset jack in the back of your phone
  4. Grab the external microphone cord and plug it into the small hole in the EHS box, remove the wax paper covering, and stick it to your phone's speaker
  5. Set headset base settings to RHL and 1 at the bottom of the base
  6. Leitner setup with EHS for Allworx phones

Note: There is an “EHS Headset” setting in the 9300 phones but you want to keep that turned OFF. It enables signaling you don’t need with our EHS adapter.
