How to Reset the Sennheiser BTD 800 USB Dongle

Sennheiser BTD 800 Bluetooth USB dongle

We can try this quick reset when a Bluetooth headset can’t seem to pair its dongle.

Dongle Reset

  1. Hold the button at the tip end of the dongle until the light on it begins to flash red and blue. This means it's in pairing mode.
  2. While it's still flashing press the same button twice rapidly. You should see purple flashes followed by it going back to pairing mode (flashing red and blue).
  3. Put the headset you're trying to connect into pairing mode. Wait for the headset to say, "Pairing Successful" and for the dongle to flash blue a few times, then go solid blue.

And that should do it!

Time for a new headset?

Many Sennheiser Bluetooth headset users have switched to the Leitner LH670!
