How do I set up my CS50/CS55/CS70 to my phone?

Please note: the CS50,CS55, and CS70 have been discontinued. We no longer have access to parts for these headsets. Hopefuly this article gets you what you need!

There are two ways to setup your CS50 / CS55 headset to your phone.

Connect the Headset through the HANDset jack

1. Unplug the HANDset from the base of your phone (The curly cord is still attached to the actual HANDset)
2. Plug the HANDset to the front of the Plantronics charging stand (There’s an icon of a HANDset receiver)
3. Plug the straight black CS50 Connector cord into the back of the Plantronics Charging Stand (There’s an icon a whole telephone).
4. Plug the other end of that cord into the HANDset jack of the base of the telephone
5. Make sure the AC Adapter is plugged in and the Handset is off the hook before using the Headset

When connecting the headset this way, you have the option to use the lifter. The lifter will plug into the underside of your charging base and will stick to your telephone base with the attached adhesive. Place the lifter on the base of your phone where it will easily lift and lower your handset receiver allowing it to answer and end your calls. It may take a few tries, recommend testing the position before removing the backing off of the adhesive.

Connect the Headset through the HEADset jack

1. Plug the straight black CS50 Connector Cord into the back of the Plantronics Charging Base where there’s an icon of the whole telephone.
2. Plug the other end of that cord into the HEADset jack of the base of the telephone.
3. Make sure that if you have a headset or Handsfree/mute button that the button is turned on before using the headset.
4. Make sure that the AC Adapter is plugged in but the HANDset does NOT have to be off the hook.

Note: Nortel, Nortel Meridian, NEC, and Toshiba phones might need to have their headset jack programmed through a phone technician.
