Make sure the Base Jack OR Tel Wall Jack cord is disconnected from the headset’s charging base. The headset will need to be out of the base during these instructions:
1. When the remote dial pad is removed from the charging base, it should show “Not Registered” on the screen.
2. Place the dial pad back into the charger. The screen should show “Press Pair 4 Sec” does not appear on the remote dial pad screen after a few seconds, remove the remote dial pad and place it in the charger again.
3. On the headset base, press and hold the “Pair” button for about four seconds until the red MUTE light on the headset base turns on. You can now release the button. The remote dial pad should now show “Please Wait”, followed by “Dial Pad Registered”. It takes about 30 seconds to complete the registration.
4. The mute light turns off and you see the dial pad screen indicating successful registration.
If this doesn’t work, try deregistering the microphone, then reregistering it, then running through the above instructions again. Here is how to dereg/rereg the mic:
** Only one dialpad can be paired to a base**
THE MIC IS OUT OF THE BASE FOR DEREGISTRATION AND FOR THE FIRST 2 STEPS OF REGISTERING THE NEW MIC
DEREGISTRATION:
1. Disconnect either the tel wall jack cord, or the base jack cord from charger base.
2. Press and Hold the PAIR button until the Mute light on the base blinks.
3. Immediately release the pair button, press the PAIR button and release again while Mute is still flashing.
4. ON/OFF on the headset button will turn orange and blue.
REGISTER A NEW MIC:
1. Make sure the headset’s battery is installed and let it charge for at least 5 minutes on the base.
2. Press and hold the PAIR button until the MUTE light on the base comes on
3. Return the headset to the base. After about 30 seconds the mute light on the base will turn off. The ON/OFF button on the headset will turn blue.
4. Reconnect tel wall jack cord (or base jack cord) from charger base.
If the registration was not successful the ON/OFF button will flash twice every 5 seconds.
TIP: When pressing and holding the Pair button, the Mute light will first turn solid and then begin flashing. You can only pair the dial pad when the Mute light is solid, flashing will not work.
USING THE DIAL PAD
The dial pad does not need to be turned on unless the user has to dial. You answer a call using the button on the ear and if the dialer is needed you press the green button to turn it on.
NEW BASE USED WITH OLD DIAL PAD
If we replace the base but not the dial pad, it is important that you break the bond between the old base and the dial pad.
To do this:
WITH HDS MIC OUT OF OLD BASE: press and HOLD PAIR ON OLD BASE UNTIL MUTE LIGHT FLASHES - THEN PRESS PAIR until MUTE light GOES OUT.
THEN PAIR the DIALPAD TO THE NEW BASE
