For a reason we can't determine, some phone swill give you a headset port, but won't give you a headset button. In these cases, you will need to program a headset button into the phone yourself to get it to work. These are the instructions on how to do this with an ESI 48key DFP desk phone!
Direct Programming
Once done, you should now have a headset button. You can label it as such or just try to remember :)
Traditional Programming
Simply press the Program button and allow the verbal guide to walk you through the process, helping you choose the correct option for the button. This method may take a bit longer, but it should still work!
