Can I Connect my Busy Light/OLI light with my EHS?

We are getting conflicting reports as to whether EHS cables work with Busy Lights. Known exceptions are listed below in RED. Please set the Customer expectation that it may not be compatible and guarantee compatibility! If the Customer would still like to try it, please follow these steps:

Busy Buddy/Busy Beacon with EHS set up

Step 1: Plug one end of the 18-inch black telephone cord (that came with the indicator light) into the top of your Headsets.com box. The other end will connect into the HEADSET port of your telephone

• The compat on the right-hand side of the Headsets.com box with the Busy Beacon is I and I, on the Busy Buddy it is 1 and 3

Step 2: Unplug the connector cord (that came with the headset unit) from your Customers telephone headset port and plug it into the bottom of your Headsets.com box (where there is only 1 free port and a 0-1 white dial on the left)

Step 3: Don’t forget to plug in the lamp and the power to the top of your Headsets.com box

That is it! You are ready to test it out!

Busy Light with EHS set up

Step 1: Plug one end of the 18-inch black telephone cord (that came with the indicator light) into the right-hand side of your Headsets.com box (it can go into any 1 of the 2 ports). The other end will connect into the HEADSET port of your Customers telephone

Step 2: Unplug the connector cord (that came with the headset unit) from your Customers telephone headset port and plug it into the remaining port of your Headsets.com box

Step 3: Don’t forget to plug in the lamp and the power to the left-hand side of your Headsets.com box

Addition Notes:

Headsets.com Busy Light works with Sennheiser Hookswitches (Except for Cisco, Siemens, Polycom VVX, and Sennheiser Electronic Hookswitch for Siemens Phones compatible phones)

Plantronics Hookswitches do not work with any Busy Light except the Plantronics Online Indicator.

Plantronics Online Indicator Light works with Plantronics Savi series headsets and the new CS500 series headsets. They use newer hookswitches that do include a slot for the Online-Indicator.

The Online Indicator will not work with an electronic hookswitch for the OLD Plantronics.

Busy Beacon works with most Sennheiser Hookswitches

(Except for Sennheiser Hookswitch for Shoretel Phones)

BusyBuddy works with most Sennheiser Hookswitches

(This may or may not work for Sennheiser Hookswitch for Polycom Phones-- test with the Customer!)
