My Marathon TL7610 Dial Pad says "handset 1" or "handset 2" and isn't working

Updated by Christopher Bentley on Mar 7, 2024

This is a problem with the Marathon base, NOT the dial pad! If you are able to replace the headset and base, the dial pad will start working. MAKE SURE TO PULL THE BATTERY FROM THE DIAL PAD UNTIL THE NEW UNIT ARRIVES TO BREAK THE CONNECTION. Be sure to re-charge the dial pad when you get the new unit.

Note: The AT&T Marathon has been discontinued, so you will likely only by able to replace it if you have a spare one lying around.
